Shankar Distillers asked Creative Place Consulting to leverage it’s wealth of industry experience to help launch it’s new distillery and spirits in 2024. Founded by V2Soft Founder and Tech Entrepreneur Varchasvi Shankar, Shankar Distillers is the first distillery to be opened by an Indian immigrant and Varchas Whiskey is the first American craft bourbon being exported to India. Located in Troy, Michigan, the distillery has received major accolades including Single Barrel Bourbon of the Year at the World Bartender Awards and Top 5 Bourbons in 2024 from Forbes Magazine. It’s recent release of 900 Grados just won gold at the World Spirits Competition.

Scope of work included:

• Advise Founder Varchasvi Shankar on several facets of distillery start-up.

• Comprehensive marketing strategy and campaign implementation encompassing social and earned media, direct stakeholder engagement, and events programming.

• Advise multi-state sales strategy

• Complete tasting room start-up including hospitality and bar program, staffing, menu development and financial management.

• Launch campaign and implementation for distillery grand opening, 900 Grados Tequila, Single Barrel Bourbon Finish Series .
